We are delighted to announce that our next workshop will be held on Friday 20 September 2024 at University House, University of Leeds, Cromer Terrace, Leeds LS2 9JT.
Our speaker is Orla Austin, Consultant Plastic Surgeon at the Spire Methley Park Hospital in Leeds [MH1]. Her specialist interest and expertise are all aspects of breast and chest wall surgery, including post-cancer breast reconstruction, congenital breast malformation, burned breast/chest wall reconstruction, gynaecomastia and female to male “top surgery”. Miss Austin graduated from University College Dublin in 1990 and qualified as a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Ireland after four years of training in general surgery. Awards include the Registrar’s Prize for surgical research and Specialist Fellowship in Plastic Surgery.
As usual, the day will consist of two presentations by our speaker, followed by language workshop groups which will focus on terminology and translation of pre-selected journal articles, with the opportunity to ask the speaker any questions.
